Many gamers across the United States and the world have taken the online gaming world by storm with the advent of several online role-playing games.. More commonly known as MMORPG, or massive multiplayer online role-playing game, these are computer games that require the connection of the internet to play. One game that debuted in April of 2007 was The LOTRO: Shadows of Angmar. This game is based off of the novels by J.R.R. Tolkien and centers around Middle-earth, where most of the action takes place. Playing the game is just as fun as watching it as many have also taken to. But The LOTR, also know as LOTR for short, is a game in which real players play in real time when other people are playing the game also. There are disadvantages and advantages to playing The LOTRO for extended periods of time; however, most people who tear themselves apart from it find that they are quite addicted.
